A 21yrs computer science student (that would be me, Rados Zuric) is trying to sell the Earth for over $1.500.000!? I know it sounds crazy (Earth on sale !?), but that's exactly the idea - what if I could sell the entire world and if I could, why not actually do it? Why not indeed? The problem is - I don't own the world; no one does.
What I do own is imagination and the virtual Earth you should see above (if you have Flash player installed). With today's WWW importance and the number of people surfing the web, it's more then clear that WWW is much more then an entertainment resource; for some people, the Internet is their life - their world.
Hence, why not try to represent the part of that virtual world using the well known representation of our planet? I didn't see why not; and there you go - EarthOnSale was born. It's crazy enough to get someone's attention and yet dynamic and interesting enough to keep someone coming back.
I must say that I'm a one man team and everything you see here is done by me. My knowledge of any web site + promotion + anything commercially web related, was = 0 (zero, nada, nista, niente) and the process of gaining the skills required for realization of this project was tough. Very tough.
You can track my progress through the Blog page and if you want to get more familiar with everything, there's the FAQ page. You should see the menu on top of the page and don't be afraid to use it.
Have a nice time exploring the virtual Earth!
